Mess free painting!

Materials:

  • construction paper

  • bowl ( I prefer a bowl over a cup because it is less likely to tip over)

  • water (a little water goes a long way)

  • paint brush (I love the Melissa and Doug paint brushes because they help promote correct pencil grip)

How To:

  1. Model dipping the paintbrush into the water and drawing on the paper

  2. Let your child repeat

Talk About It:

  • "w w water"

  • "w w wet"

  • "p p paint"

  • come up with a word when they paint a line "zip" was what I used when Owen would paint across-this encourages them to say "zip" as well
