Sorting recyclables

Materials:

• marker

• recyclacles

• white paper roll or use the back of wrapping paper

How To:

1. separate your paper into 4 sections

2. label each section with the categories you will have your child sort to recycle (we used paper, cans, bottles, and boxes)

3. collect the things you want your child to sort OR have your child find them around the house like a scavenger hunt

Talk About It:

• "What is this made out of?"

• "What other things come in boxes?"

• "What happens to things that get recycled?

• "Why is it important to recycle?"
